A biological filter for water purification

Water for Nature Group has developed unique water purification systems for the rehabilitation of streams, which operate at high flow rates.

The system enables us to create new sources of water for urban irrigation, drinking water and the revitalization and rehabilitation of streams. Our systems consume little energy and do not contaminate the environment. Moreover, our systems don't require additional operation space, and can therefore be integrated into the hearts of already flourishing urban parks.

The system we developed purifies sewage, runoff water and drainage water. The filters of the purification system combine:

As part of the company's long-term thinking, Water for Nature promotes among the community the importance of nature conservation and restoration of our streams. The multi-year community education program enables children and adults to learn about rehabilitating streams and water sources, and allows for community participation in all aspects of the rehabilitation process.

The educational program is appropriate and accessible for all age groups, from young children to retirees. The program includes study, as well as participation in the implementation. Research and monitoring of all rehabilitation efforts is a unique part of our program of community participation.

Our financial model

As part of the vision of sustainable development, we have adopted and developed a financial model that enables the initial development and further maintenance of these spaces at no additional cost.

Our projects are designed to create and supply quality water from runoff water for urban irrigation, among other uses, at a reduced price. The purified water is intended to revive the streams and lakes, water the parks and to be used for public gardening.

We build and maintain water systems at our own expense in the BOT (build-operate-transfer) model. Our economic model enables us to maintain the municipal park at our own expense and thus ensure optimal maintenance of the park without the need for a regular budget from the municipality.

Water for Nature has extensive experience in raising resources for the establishment of ecological parks for our clients from the Israel Land Administration, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Jewish National Fund, and the various regulatory authorities.
