Rehabilitation project for the Nature and Parks Authority Ein Afek Nature Reserve
An ecological project of environmental restoration of the Ein Afek nature reserve, which we planned and carried out for the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority.
The conservation project was a preliminary project that integrated a biological purification system to improve the water quality in the reserve, together with an initial and innovative system for water bank stabilization. The stabilization was made possible by use of water vegetation so as to prevent the takeover of invasive species such as raspberries cane, inula helenium, and others.
After rebuilding the ponds, we planted a large variety of water and bank plants, For four years we maintained the reserve and helped the plants to infiltrate and capture the ground water, creating a system of water wealth and bank plants that is unparalleled in Israel.
